(Investing.com) – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Insurance, and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 1.06%, while the MDAX index climbed 0.05%, and the TecDAX index added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. which rose 7.65% or 10.70 points to trade at 150.56 at the close.
Meanwhile, Continental AG O.N. added 2.77% or 3.05 points to end at 113.35 and Daimler AG NA O.N. was up 2.76% or 1.555 points to 57.990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG, which fell 2.31% or 2.65 points to trade at 112.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 420 to 256 and 74 ended unchanged.
The DAX Volatility Index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.28% to 24.03.
