Meet Catherine Sensei

Catherine Pawasarat Sensei began her spiritual practices in earnest in her early 20s, driven by a desire to overcome personal suffering and address international environmental and social justice challenges. Her journey included studying metaphysics, Western spiritual traditions, and ayahuasca sacraments. For 26 years, she trained daily with Qapel Doug Duncan, receiving lay ordination from Ven. Namgyal Rinpoche in 2003.

Together with Qapel, Catherine Sensei co-founded Clear Sky Retreat Center and Planet Dharma. She supports the spiritual underpinnings of social entrepreneurs and integrates generative living and the arts into her teachings.
