ITC Packaging & Printing Business has partnered with UK-based Frugalpac to launch the Frugal Bottle—a sustainable paper bottle made from 94% recycled paperboard. This innovative packaging offers a lightweight, eco-friendly alternative to traditional glass bottles, significantly reducing environmental impact.
The Frugal Bottle is five times lighter than glass, uses four times less water, and has an 84% smaller carbon footprint, making it a perfect fit for India’s expanding beverage packaging market. Featuring a food-grade inner pouch to securely hold liquids, it combines functionality with sustainability.
Aligned with ITC’s Sustainability 2.0 goals, this collaboration promotes biodegradable packaging, plastic-free packaging, and supports a circular economy. ITC plans to manufacture these bottles locally, addressing the growing demand for green packaging solutions.
The Frugal Bottle will be showcased at ProWine Mumbai, highlighting ITC’s commitment to carbon footprint reduction, water conservation, and sustainable packaging innovation in India and South Asia.
