Copy Trading Still Has Emotions

I used to think copy trading meant “no emotions” because someone else was pressing the buttons. Turns out I was the problem, not the charts 😅.

I would panic-close copied trades the moment they went into drawdown and then watch them turn back into profit after I had already exited. I didn’t realise the trader had a plan, but I didn’t. What I wish I knew earlier is that you either trust the system you chose or you don’t copy it at all. You should check the trader’s history before copying so you know what a “normal” drawdown looks like and don’t freak out every time the market moves against you. If you override every trade because of fear, you’ll destroy a strategy that actually works long term.

Copy trading reduces the workload, not the emotion; you still have to manage your mindset. Has anyone else learned this the hard way? 💬
