As a New Trader, This Makes Me Realize How Dangerous “Guaranteed Returns” Really Are

As someone still early in my trading journey, reading about how much older Americans lost to financial scams honestly makes me slow down and reflect. When you’re new, it’s easy to be impressed by confident messages, polished ads, and people who sound like experts online. But seeing how scammers target seniors through trust, fear, and emotional pressure reminds me that no age group is immune. The idea that money can disappear so quickly through wires or crypto is scary, and it reinforces why learning, verification, and asking questions matter so much.

For me, this is a strong reminder that real investing takes patience, transparency, and uncertainty. I’d rather grow slowly and understand what I’m doing than believe in promises that sound comforting but can destroy lives.
