As someone still early in my trading journey, reading about Spain’s new rules honestly makes me pause and look at social media very differently. When you’re new, influencers feel approachable, friendly, and relatable, and it’s easy to mistake confidence for credibility. Knowing that even “helpful” replies, recommendations, or encouragement to sign up can cross into illegal promotion makes me realize how careful I need to be.
It also shows why regulation exists in the first place: to protect people like me from advice that’s driven by commissions, not our best interests. For me, this is a reminder to slow down, verify who is actually authorized, and separate real education from marketing dressed up as friendship.
