Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index down 1.13%

Investing.com - Russia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining, Oil & Gas and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index lost 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were VK Company Ltd (MCX: VKCO ), which rose 3.27% or 10.30 points to trade at 325.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AK ALROSA PJSC (MCX: ALRS ) added 0.97% or 0.44 points to end at 45.74 and TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin (MCX: TATN ) was up 0.28% or 1.80 points to 646.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ADS Ozon Holdings PLC ORD SHS (MCX:OZONDR), which fell 4.81% or 205.00 points to trade at 4,056.00 at the close. OK Rusal MKPAO (MCX: RUAL ) declined 3.42% or 1.09 points to end at 30.66 and MMC NORILSK NICKEL PJSC (MCX: GMKN ) was down 2.86% or 3.50 points to 119.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 152 to 85 and 9 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 1.69% to 36.12.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.57% or 53.15 to $3,328.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.56% or 1.08 to hit $70.29 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $72.75 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 81.01, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 92.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.08% at 99.71.
