Brazil stocks lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 0.69%

Investing.com - Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumption, Electric Power and Public Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref ( BVMF :USIM5), which rose 5.80% or 0.24 points to trade at 4.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Embraer SA ( BVMF :EMBR3) added 5.78% or 4.41 points to end at 80.66 and Tim Participacoes SA ( BVMF :TIMS3) was up 3.50% or 0.70 points to 20.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marfrig Alimentos SA ( BVMF :MRFG3), which fell 10.20% or 2.42 points to trade at 21.30 at the close. BRF SA ( BVMF :BRFS3) declined 5.65% or 1.20 points to end at 20.05 and Ambev SA ( BVMF :ABEV3) was down 5.25% or 0.69 points to 12.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 496 to 459 and 50 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 7.43% to 27.02.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.24% or 8.15 to $3,344.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.89% or 0.62 to hit $69.38 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract rose 0.48% or 1.40 to trade at $294.80 .
USD/BRL was up 0.55% to 5.60, while EUR/BRL rose 0.58% to 6.39.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 99.84.
