4th August 2025 - (Hong Kong) The Hang Seng Index opened 75 points lower or 0.31%, standing at 24,431 points; the H-Share Index dropped 30 points or 0.34%, settling at 8,773 points; and the Technology Index declined by 35 points or 0.65%, reaching 5,361 points. In tech stock developments, Tencent saw a 0.1% increase; Alibaba dropped by 1.2%; Meituan remained stable; Xiaomi showed no change; and Kuaishou fell by 1.3%.
Financial stocks showed mixed movements with HSBC Holdings rising by 0.3%; AIA Group remained stable; China Ping An dropped by 0.9%; and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing fell by 0.2%.
China Resources Medical Holdings Company Limited (CR Medical) issued a profit warning, leading to a 6.9% decline in its stock price.
