Russia Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; MOEX Index Down 0.34%

• The index fell 0.34% on Monday, led by declines in the Mining, Oil & Gas, and Manufacturing sectors.
• ROSSETI (+4.35%), Rostelekom (+2.97%), and PIK SHb (+2.00%) led gains, while Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank (-2.93%), Aeroflot (-2.46%), and ALROSA (-2.11%) were the biggest losers.
• Declining stocks outnumbered advancers 159 to 82; the Russian Volatility Index (RVI) fell 0.95% to 30.37, a one-month low.

Investing - Russia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining, Oil & Gas and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index declined 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were ROSSETI PJSC , which unchanged 4.35% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Rostelekom PJSC added 2.97% or 2.08 points to end at 72.04 and PIK SHb PJSC was up 2.00% or 13.20 points to 672.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO, which fell 2.93% or 0.24 points to trade at 7.81 at the close. Aeroflot PJSC declined 2.46% or 1.56 points to end at 61.89 and AK ALROSA PJSC was down 2.11% or 1.02 points to 47.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 159 to 82 and 10 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 0.95% to 30.37 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 7.90 to $3,410.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.73% or 1.10 to hit $64.76 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $68.14 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 80.77, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 93.69.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.76% at 98.35. (AI)
