Brazil Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; Bovespa Up 0.04%

• Brazil's Bovespa index rose 0.04% on Monday, closing at a one-month high, driven by gains in the Public Utilities, Basic Materials, and Real Estate sectors.
• Companhia Brasileira de Distribuio (+8.98%), Eneva (+4.61%), and Magazine Luiza (+3.19%) led the gains, while Rumo (-3.05%), Raia Drogasil (-3.00%), and Natura & Co (-2.74%) were the biggest decliners.
• Public utilities and real estate stocks provided key support for the index's slight upward move.

Investing - Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Public Utilities, Basic Materials and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.04% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica, which rose 8.98% or 0.29 points to trade at 3.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Eneva SA added 4.61% or 0.66 points to end at 14.97 and Magazine Luiza SA was up 3.19% or 0.22 points to 7.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA, which fell 3.05% or 0.46 points to trade at 14.61 at the close. Raia Drogasil SA declined 3.00% or 0.56 points to end at 18.11 and Natura & Co SA was down 2.74% or 0.25 points to 8.89.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 511 to 421 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA fell to 5-year lows; down 3.05% or 0.46 to 14.61. Shares in Eneva SA rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.61% or 0.66 to 14.97.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.20% to 25.19.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.25% or 8.38 to $3,410.12 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.70% or 1.08 to hit $64.74 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 0.58% or 2.20 to trade at $376.10.
USD/BRL was down 0.18% to 5.41, while EUR/BRL fell 1.01% to 6.29.
