Mexico Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Up 0.89%

Investing - Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC gained 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit, which rose 8.13% or 0.75 points to trade at 9.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV added 6.08% or 32.50 points to end at 566.93 and Regional SAB de CV was up 4.35% or 6.07 points to 145.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV, which fell 1.58% or 0.22 points to trade at 13.74 at the close. Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV declined 1.18% or 1.80 points to end at 150.80 and GCC SAB de CV was down 0.72% or 1.28 points to 176.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 160 to 84 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.55% or 18.85 to $3,451.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.93% or 0.59 to hit $63.84 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $67.20 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.06% to 18.67, while EUR/MXN rose 0.06% to 21.72.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 98.09. (AI)
