Russia Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; MOEX Index Down 1.47%

• The MOEX Russia Index fell 1.47% on Tuesday, dragged down by Oil & Gas, Telecoms, and Mining stocks.
• Top gainers: Polyus +1.9%, Transneft Pref +0.38%, AFK Sistema +0.30%; Top losers: Surgutneftegas Pref -2.51% (52-week low), Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank -2.27%, Rusal -2.23%.
• Decliners outnumbered advancers 198 to 41, while the Russian Volatility Index (RVI) slipped 1.74% to 31.00.

Investing - Russia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index fell 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Polyus PJSC , which rose 1.90% or 41.40 points to trade at 2,223.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Transneft PJSC Pref added 0.38% or 5.00 points to end at 1,319.00 and AFK Sistema PJSC was up 0.30% or 0.05 points to 16.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Surgutneftegas PJSC Pref, which fell 2.51% or 1.09 points to trade at 42.26 at the close. Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO declined 2.27% or 0.18 points to end at 7.74 and OK Rusal MKPAO was down 2.23% or 0.76 points to 33.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 198 to 41 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Surgutneftegas PJSC Pref fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.51% or 1.09 to 42.26.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 1.74% to 31.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 2.38% or 83.55 to $3,599.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.55% or 1.63 to hit $65.64 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $69.13 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 80.81, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 93.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 98.27. (AI)
