Consumer confidence in Mexico rose to 46.7 in August 2025, the highest in eight months, from an upwardly revised 46 in July, despite remaining in pessimistic territory. The increase mainly reflected an improved outlook on households’ financial situation (58.5 vs 57.7 in July) and the country's economic performance (48.7 vs 47.7), with the present situation seen as more favorable (41.5 vs 40.9). The survey also found that Mexicans were increasingly willing to make large purchases (33.3 vs 32.2), even though assessments of household finances fell slightly (51.7 vs 51.8).
