The unemployment rate in North Macedonia fell to 11.5% in the second quarter of 2025 from 12.5% in the same period a year ago. This was the lowest jobless rate on record, as the number of unemployed persons declined by 7 thousand to 91.4 thousand. Meanwhile, employment edged up to 52.2% from 52.1%, with the number of employed individuals rising by 9.6 thousand to 701.4 thousand. The labor force participation rate increased to 46.2% from 45.6% in the previous year.
