Denmark’s manufacturing production rose by 1.2% month-on-month in July 2025, easing from an upwardly revised 3.4% increase in the previous month. The slowdown was mainly driven by declines seen in the output of transport equipment (-2.7% vs 12.1% in June), chemical and oil refineries (-2.6% vs 2.9%), and furniture and other manufacturing (-0.5% vs 4.7%). Additionally, activity continued to decrease for wood and paper products and printing (-5% vs -0.7%), while growth softened significantly for machinery (3.7% vs 15.2%). On the other hand, production rebounded for electronic components (2.7% vs -2.9%), food products, beverages and tobacco (1.6% vs -1.8%) and plastic, glass and concrete (0.5% vs -1.1%). On a non-seasonally adjusted yearly basis, manufacturing output dropped by 7.2% in July, marking the seventh straight month of fall, following a downwardly revised 2.7% loss in June.
