Russia Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; MOEX Index Up 0.68%

Investing - Russia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, Power and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index gained 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Surgutneftegas PJSC Pref, which rose 3.46% or 1.49 points to trade at 44.42 at the close. Meanwhile, MMC NORILSK NICKEL PJSC added 2.54% or 3.20 points to end at 129.20 and Surgutneftegas PJSC was up 2.30% or 0.52 points to 23.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref, which fell 0.96% or 6.00 points to trade at 618.90 at the close. TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin declined 0.83% or 5.50 points to end at 658.80 and Magnit PJSC was down 0.76% or 27.00 points to 3,504.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 181 to 61 and 9 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 2.04% to 31.23.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.66% or 23.97 to $3,677.27 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.92% or 0.57 to hit $62.44 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $66.22 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 83.82, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 97.01.
