Japan's Nikkei Stock Average is trading higher, tracking overnight gains on Wall Street and growing expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut.
The Nikkei is up 0.8%, supported by technology and automobile stocks. Conglomerate Sony Group is up 1.2%, semiconductor company Advantest is 5.2% higher, while Hitachi is up 1.0%.
Honda and Toyota are up 1.0% and 0.3%, respectively. Financial stocks are up, with Nomura gaining 2.2% and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial 0.4% higher.
