The annual industrial production in Finland tumbled to 4.2% in July 2025, from an upwardly revised four-month low of a 0.5% gain in the previous month. This marked the first contraction since February, as output slipped in manufacturing (-4.3% vs 1.5% in June). At the same time, output continued to fall in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-6% vs -2.7%). On the other hand, production rebounded significantly in mining and quarrying (19% vs -0.9%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity declined by 1.8% in July, slipping further from a revised 0.8% drop in the preceding month.
