Slovakia’s construction output grew by 10.3% year-on-year in July 2025, marking the highest growth since January 2023, following a 9.1% increase in the previous month. The growth was primarily driven by a rise in new construction activity (6.6% vs 5.9% in June), building construction (12.3% vs 7.6%, and construction abroad (29.6% vs 16.1%). Meanwhile, output slowed for domestic construction (7.8% vs 8.2%) and repairs and maintenance (1.8% vs 15.8%), while construction activity stalled for engineering works (0% vs 9.5%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output decreased by 1.4% in July.
