Poland's industrial output rose by 0.7% year-on-year in August 2025, surpassing market expectations of a 0.3% increase but marking a sharp slowdown from an upwardly revised 3.0% rise in the previous month. Growth eased notably in manufacturing (1.1% vs 3.6% in July) and in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services (1.5% vs 3.1%). Additionally, output continued to decline in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-6.7% vs -3.1%). Meanwhile, the contraction in mining and quarrying slowed (-2.1% vs -5.9%). On a monthly basis, industrial production slumped by 7.1% in August, reversing an upwardly revised 0.4% increase in the previous month.
