Lithuania Industrial Output Tumbles in August

Industrial production in Lithuania declined by 2.4% year-on-year in August 2025 from a 1.8% gain in the previous month. This marked the first fall in industrial activity since June 2024, as output tumbled for manufacturing (-2.7% vs 1.7% in July), while it dropped further for mining and quarrying (-14.1% vs -1.5%). At the same time, output growth slowed for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (6% vs 6.8%). Meanwhile, production fell at a slower pace for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services (-3.5% vs -6%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rose by 2.1% in August, rebounding from a 1.6% drop in the preceding period.
