The Economic Tendency Indicator for Sweden rose to 97.2 in September 2025 from a revised 96.3 in August, marking the highest level since November 2024. Consumer confidence increased for the fifth straight month (93.2 vs 91.6 in August), primarily due to improved expectations for both households’ financial situation and the broader Swedish economy over the next 12 months. Meanwhile, the overall business confidence indicator was unchanged and remains at its historical average (at 100). Within sectors, sentiment improved in manufacturing (98.6 vs 97.0) and trade (104.5 vs 103.5), but weakened in construction (97.3 vs 98.0) and services (98.8 vs 99.5).
