Colombia’s Industrial Confidence Index (ICI) fell to 5.3 in August 2025 from 6.7 in July, reflecting weaker demand conditions. The decline was driven by a 6.6 p.p. rise in inventory levels and a 2.5 p.p. drop in current orders, partly offset by a 5.0 p.p. increase in production expectations for the next quarter. On a yearly basis, however, the ICI improved by 6.7 points, up from -1.4 in August 2024, signaling a stronger overall sentiment compared to last year.
