Armenia’s economic activity rose 7.5% year-on-year in August 2025, easing from a downwardly revised 9% growth in July. The moderation reflected slower expansion in several key sectors, including construction, which grew 21.1% compared with 26.1% in July, services, which rose 6.7% versus 11.4%, and trade activity, up 1.7% from 3% the previous month. In contrast, industrial output accelerated, posting a 5.8% increase compared with 4.2% in July. On a month-on-month basis, overall economic activity expanded 5.4%, picking up slightly from 5% growth in July. Looking at the cumulative performance for January through August, economic activity was 7.1% higher than during the same period last year.
