The annual inflation rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina edged lower to 4.1% in August 2025 from a two-year high of 4.8% in the previous month. Price growth slowed for food and non-alcoholic beverages (9.2% vs 10.8%), restaurants and hotels (7.2% vs 7.5%), housing and utilities (0.2% vs 1.4%), and other goods and services (3.5% vs 3.8%). At the same time, prices declined further for clothing and footwear (-5.7% vs -5.3%). On the other hand, inflation picked up slightly for furnishings and household equipment (1.1% vs 1.0%). In addition, inflation remained unchanged for alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.7%) and health (6.1%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.2% in August, reversing a 0.2% rise in July.
