Luxembourg’s trade deficit widened to €0.94 billion in July 2025 from €0.86 billion a year earlier. Imports increased 8.7% year-on-year to €2.29 billion, led by a sharp rise in machinery and equipment (+83.6%), along with gains in non-edible raw materials, oils and fats (+15.6%), and food and live animals (+13.0%). Exports climbed 8.3% to €1.35 billion, driven by transport equipment (+43.3%), followed by manufactured articles (+17.1%), beverages and tobacco (+14.6%), food and live animals (+13.9%), and mineral fuels and lubricants (+13.1%).
