The industrial confidence indicator in Slovakia dropped by 6.7 points month-over-month to -3.7 in September 2025 from 3 in the previous month. The decline was mainly due to the decrease in the expected production (12 vs 22 in August), particularly for manufacture of pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (5 vs 12) and motor vehicles, trailers, semi-trailers and of other transport equipment (64 vs 76). Also, expectations in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (-31 vs -2) declined further. In addition, firms reported a continued decrease in current order level (-17 vs -16). Meanwhile, growth was reported in finished goods stock after a 2-month fall (6 vs -3).
