Retail sales in Slovenia rose by 0.7% year-on-year in August 2025, rebounding from a 0.7% drop in the previous month. The upturn was driven by a sharp recovery in sales for automotive fuel in specialized stores (1.2% vs -5.7% in July) and continued growth for non-food (2.4% vs 3.6%). Additionally, activity declined at a slower pace for food, beverages, & tobacco (-1.1% vs -2.4%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail sales increased by 0.3% in August, reversing a 0.9% decrease in the preceding period.
