Slovenia’s annual inflation rate slowed to 2.7% in September 2025 from a sixteen-month high of 3% in the previous month. This marked the lowest reading since June, mainly driven by softer price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages (7% vs 7.6% in August), clothing and footwear (3% vs 6.9%), and recreation and culture (2.4% vs 3.1%). Additionally, costs continued to decline for transport (-0.7% vs -1.1%) and communications (-0.3% vs -0.1%). Meanwhile, inflation rose further for health (4.8% vs 4.5%) and education ( 4.5% vs 4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped by 0.4% in September, after stalling in the preceding period.
