Mexico Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Up 0.49%

Investing - Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.49% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV, which rose 6.08% or 1.02 points to trade at 17.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Regional SAB de CV added 4.62% or 7.26 points to end at 164.44 and Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV was up 4.37% or 0.55 points to 13.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B, which fell 3.30% or 14.72 points to trade at 431.32 at the close. Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV declined 1.14% or 1.68 points to end at 145.56 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD was down 1.09% or 1.98 points to 180.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 119 to 118 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Regional SAB de CV rose to 52-week highs; up 4.62% or 7.26 to 164.44.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.84% or 32.20 to $3,887.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.61% or 1.02 to hit $62.43 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.07 to trade at $66.16 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.03% to 18.31, while EUR/MXN rose 0.05% to 21.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 97.50. (AI)
