Paraguay’s annual inflation rose to 4.3% in September 2025, up from 4.1% in August. Deflation deepened in transport (-3.1% vs -1.1%), while inflation eased in recreation and culture (3.4% vs 5.8%), services (3.8% vs 4.4%), and utilities (2.7% vs 2.8%). Most other categories also showed softer price gains. On the other hand, food and non-alcoholic beverages accelerated (9.8% vs 8.8%), driven by higher meat and horticultural prices, while restaurants and hotels edged higher (7.1% vs 7.0%). On a monthly basis, the CPI declined 0.1%, reversing the 0.1% increase in August.
