The Swedish economy expanded by 1.1% month-over-month in August 2025, rebounding from an upwardly revised 0.3% contraction in July. “The Swedish economy grew with increased household consumption and growing production in the business sector", said Melker Pettersson Loberg, economist at Statistics Sweden. On a yearly basis, GDP rose by 2.4% in August, following a downwardly revised 1.9% growth in the previous month.
