Russia Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; MOEX Index Up 0.08%

• MOEX Russia Index rose 0.08% on Wednesday, supported by gains in the Power, Mining, and Telecoms sectors.
• Top performers: Polyus PJSC (+4.13%), ROSSETI PJSC (+2.80%), and RusHydro PJSC (+2.65%).
• Biggest decliners: VK Company (-3.18%) and TATNEFT shares (around -3%), while the Russian Volatility Index fell 2.57% to 34.12.

Investing - Russia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Power, Mining and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index added 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Polyus PJSC , which rose 4.13% or 87.80 points to trade at 2,216.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ROSSETI PJSC unchanged 2.80% or 0.00 points to end at 0.06 and Federal Hydro Generating Company RusHydro PJSC was up 2.65% or 0.01 points to 0.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were VK Company Ltd, which fell 3.18% or 8.20 points to trade at 249.40 at the close. TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref declined 2.95% or 15.50 points to end at 509.70 and TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin was down 2.74% or 15.30 points to 542.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 124 to 111 and 14 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 2.57% to 34.12.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.47% or 61.40 to $4,224.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.10% or 0.06 to hit $58.76 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $62.43 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 77.15, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 91.58.
