China`s Stocks Rally Over Upcoming Trade Talks With US

(MT Newswires) -- Chinese shares rallied as the trade tensions with the US eased amid a hopeful outlook on the upcoming talks in South Korea.
The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 1.4%, or 52.44 points, to finish Tuesday's trade at 3,916.33. The Shenzhen Component Index jumped 2.1%, or 264.11 points, to 13,077.32.
US President Donald Trump told reporters in a press conference that he expects to strike a fair trade agreement with Chinese President Xi Jinping at their upcoming meeting in South Korea.
Trump also expects the issue of Taiwan to be brought to the table, along with other bilateral concerns, although he did not detail what he expects from the issue.
In corporate news, Shandong Intco Recycling Resources jumped 5.2% after announcing plans to take a 0.18% partnership interest in Warburg Pincus' partnership fund for $30 million.
Zhongce Rubber Group climbed 4.3% after posting a 13% year-on-year rise in its third-quarter tire products revenue to 10.1 billion yuan.
Beijing Tieke Shougang Rail Way-Tech rose 4.1% after winning for 654.4 million yuan the bid for the procurement of materials for the 2025 National Railway Construction Project.
