Wall Street stocks surged to fresh records Friday after benign US inflation data set the stage for another Federal Reserve interest rate cut.
All three major US indices finished at all-time highs, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average winning 1.0 percent at 47,207.12.
The broad-based S&P 500 gained 0.8 percent to 6,791.69, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 1.2 percent to 23,204.87.
