Macau’s economy expanded by 8% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, accelerating from a 5.1% growth in the previous quarter, preliminary data showed. This marked the strongest pace of expansion since the first quarter of 2024, supported by continued growth in service exports and solid domestic demand. Service exports climbed by 10.5%, driven by rising visitor arrivals (+13.6%). Government spending and household consumption increased by 2.7% and 0.8%, respectively. However, gross fixed capital formation fell sharply by 26.1% due to declines in both private and public construction activity. For the first three quarters of the year, GDP rose by 4.2%.
