Danish Inflation Rate Eases to 2.1% in October

Denmark’s annual inflation rate eased to 2.1% in October 2025 from 2.3% in September. Inflation moderated for housing and utilities (1.5% vs 1.6%), transport (1.5% vs 2.0%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.5% vs 5.3%), and recreation and culture (2.3% vs 3.0%). Meanwhile, inflation accelerated for restaurants and hotels (2.5% vs 1.8%), communication (4.7% vs 4.1%), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.6% vs 0.9%), and rebounded for furnishings, household equipment, and maintenance (1.2% vs -0.1%). Health inflation remained steady at 1.1%, while prices for clothing and footwear continued to fall (-0.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.4% in October, the first increase in three months, rebounding from a 0.1% decline in September. Core inflation, which excludes energy and unprocessed food, edged up to 2.3% from 2.2% in the previous month.
