Updates on the schedule of US economic data will take the spotlight after its prolonged government shutdown ended, set to offer fresh insights after private surveys painted a mixed economic picture since October. Confirmed private releases include flash S&P PMIs, existing home sales, the NAHB housing index, and the weekly ADP employment aggregate. Markets also await earnings for Nvidia for fresh assessment on AI frothiness and calls by major retailers Walmart, Target, and Home Depot for insights on consumer strength. On the monetary policy front, minutes from meetings by the Fed and RBA are awaited. Flash PMIs will also be the focus in the Eurozone, the UK, Japan, Australia, and India. Meanwhile, Japan will post its third quarter GDP and October's inflation rate. Lastly, Canada will update its CPI, and GDP reports are expected for Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Mexico, and Thailand.
