Mexico Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Down 0.71%

Investing - Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Financiero Banorte, which rose 1.20% or 2.09 points to trade at 175.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. added 1.16% or 2.10 points to end at 182.53 and Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV was up 0.91% or 1.57 points to 173.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit, which fell 4.16% or 0.43 points to trade at 9.90 at the close. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. declined 3.15% or 4.76 points to end at 146.52 and Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. was down 2.65% or 3.46 points to 127.31.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 177 to 61 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.09% or 3.74 to $4,079.06 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.84% or 0.50 to hit $58.75 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.58% or 0.37 to trade at $63.14 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.35% to 18.40, while EUR/MXN rose 0.26% to 21.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 100.19. (AI)
