Mexico Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Down 0.27%

Investing - Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were GCC SAB de CV, which rose 3.82% or 7.17 points to trade at 194.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV added 3.29% or 0.46 points to end at 14.44 and Grupo Mexico SAB De CV was up 1.93% or 3.13 points to 165.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were America Movil SAB de CV M, which fell 3.23% or 0.66 points to trade at 19.79 at the close. Arca Continental SAB De CV declined 2.21% or 4.18 points to end at 185.01 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte was down 1.72% or 4.17 points to 237.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 144 to 95 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.44% or 18.75 to $4,239.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.80% or 0.47 to hit $59.11 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.58% or 0.36 to trade at $62.81 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.06% to 18.29, while EUR/MXN rose 0.43% to 21.34.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 98.85. (AI)
