The Nikkei 225 Index decreased -304 points or 0.60 percent on Monday to close at 50446 points.
The decline was led by Sapporo (-79.63%), Itochu (-79.07%) and Softbank (-74.79%).
On the upside, the strongest performers were Toho Zinc (15.81%), Nippon Sheet Glass (5.77%) and Sumitomo Metal Mining (3.91%).
