#OPINIONLEADER# Morning market update 16 09 2021: Last night we saw CAD CPI come in close to expectations with the CPI (MoM) (Aug) at 0.2% with 0.1% expected. For the US the Import Price Index (MoM) (Aug) came out at -0.3% with 0.3% expected and the NY Empire State Manufacturing Index (Sep) was 34.30 with 18.00 expected. Equity markets back to risk on after a few red days and first up for today is the AUD Emplyment data and the Employment Change (Aug) will be on watch with a -90.0k expected with the lock downs. Later on for the US is the Core Retail Sales (MoM) (Aug) expected at 0.1% and keeping the DXY held in this 93.00 to low 92.20’s range in tact until something more significant develops with a move on tapering from the Fed.
