NFP Friday? Who Cares?

I CERTAINLY CARE! My guess of NFP reading is…

One month ago, people were celebrating for a good Feb NFP reading, which increased by 273K in February vs. 175K expected. No one see a market forecast for March NFP of -124K, a negative number coming. -124K is such a depressed figure, and many people are expecting it to be much lower.

Last month, Investors did not put much emphasis on NFP because the figures will reflect the economic performance before the virus started taking its toll on the global economy. However, the spread of coronavirus is basically embedded in whatever we are talking about.

Vladimir Lenin once said “There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen.” This is exactly what’s happening now.
