So here's a thought I wanted to share based on my experience with trading and focusing on just one strategy at a time. It's easy to get caught up in jumping from one strategy to the next, always looking for the next "holy grail" to fix things. But honestly, the real key to success is focusing on mastering a single strategy and sticking with it long enough to really own it. It’s kinda like how a trader at The Trader Funds would approach things—mastering one setup and fully understanding it before moving on to the next.
When you keep switching strategies too often, it messes with your focus and discipline. If you just pick one strategy and train yourself to recognize it in every situation, you’ll start making way better decisions. It’s not about trying to do everything all at once but instead honing in on that one thing and making it yours. Over time, as you master it, you’ll find you don’t need to rely on all the fancy indicators or complex systems—just a solid setup and confidence in what you’re looking for.
It’s like any professional really. Look at some of the most successful people—whether it's Tiger Woods in golf or even a pro trader—they didn’t get there by hopping around from one thing to another. They stuck to their craft, kept refining, and didn’t let distractions get in the way. The same goes for forex. If you want to make real money, you have to be the expert at one thing before moving on to others.
And that’s how you build your foundation. Start small, focus on one setup, and really get to know it. Don’t rush into live trading too soon. Get comfortable with it in a demo account first, track your progress, and only then move to live trading. By keeping things simple and staying focused, you'll see way better results down the road.
